A Note from Dr. Simonson on the Purpose of the NCR Case Study Program 

I created this program to fulfill several objectives.  First of all, NeuroCranial Restructuring® is a newly emerging healing modality in physical medicine (evolving over the course of the past 30 years but only existing in its current state for about the past 15).  From first-hand experience as a patient of Dr. Howell’s for 6 years and an NCR doctor as well, and having sampled many different forms of physical medicine, I can clearly attest to the fact that NCR is the most powerful modality in physical medicine on the planet!  Dr. Howell has trained just over 50 doctors in NCR, but his goal is to train 500 worldwide.  As you can see, we have a ways to go in getting the word out about NCR!  He recently founded the NCR Research Institute (NCRRI) to assist in the compilation and dissemination of research about the theoretical basis of NCR and clinical results.  I would like to do my part in disseminating knowledge and clinical proof of NCR’s efficacy by compiling clinical case studies of my own, which I would like to use both to share with my local community and on my website in order to attract future patients needing this therapy, as well as to submit to the NCRRI to help in our worldwide efforts in spreading this amazingly effective but little-known therapy.

The second objective is to provide NCR at a significantly reduced price or even free of charge to those who need it most but truly, honestly are not in a financial position to be able to afford it at this time.  During my first year in practice as an NCR doctor, I received many an email and a phone call from people who sounded like excellent candidates for NCR but were unable to afford my rates for NCR, even though my rates were and still are the most modest in the field.  They were hoping that I would bill their insurance, and were disappointed when I explained I do not bill insurance (please read Dr. Howell’s article entitled “What is Wrong With Health Insurance?” to get a better idea of why I am opposed to this).  But I explained that I would be happy to provide the necessary paperwork for them to submit to their insurance company on their own if they take out-of-network providers and cover naturopathic care.  This, however, can be very cumbersome for the patient.  And, even though I invited them receive discounted or even free treatment with me, they felt uncomfortable or awkward about this and never actually called me back.  But I was left desperately wanting to help. 

What I realized is that there always has to be a balanced and reciprocal flow of energetic exchange to make for a harmonious healing partnership; there are laws to money and laws to energetic exchange.  I eventually realized that treating too many people at discounted rates or for free was depleting me energetically!  And people didn’t want to feel like they were taking advantage of me, and perhaps not knowing what was expected of them in exchange was disconcerting to them as well.  So I created this program with an application form, consent form, and custom-written contract in hopes that I would reach some of these people who are clearly good candidates for NCR but unable to afford it, and also uncomfortable with being on the receiving side of my generous offers without anything in writing, not knowing what may be expected of them in return. 

Lastly, as I am a relatively new NCR doctor trained within the past couple of years, I need as much help as possible in growing my business on a local and statewide level, perhaps even nationwide.  People are more likely to want to come to me for NCR and other therapies I provide if they see that another person who is suffering similarly to them was helped by me.  These case studies will valuably serve to attract people that are suffering, and needlessly so if they only knew about NCR and what I can offer them.  They will also serve to educate other health practitioners in knowing when to refer to me and other NCR doctors so that patients needing NCR will get the help they desperately need which only NCR doctors can provide.  In addition to the case studies, there are many other ways to reciprocate for my healing services in order to help my practice grow that are outlined in the application.
